Our Sunday School program runs from 9:30 until 10:15 each Sunday morning and is followed by our 10:30 worship service.
Nursery is provided for children 4 and under and is staffed by a rotation of 16 adults who work in pairs. Every adult worker at Homeland has a background check completed.
Children ages 5-11 meet in the small classroom on the main floor of the church. The teachers are Kelly Middleton and Teresa Hart and they rotate weekly.
Middle school and high school kids meet in the Xtreme Teens room in the basement of the church. This class is led by Matt and Teena Hall and Rob Wade. Occasionally the teens take turns teaching the class themselves with the adults there just to monitor and help carry along the conversation.
BASIC (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) meets in the Children’s Church room in the basement. This class is made up of adults of all ages and has breakfast and coffee each week. The class reads through the Bible, 1-2 chapters per week) and then discusses the reading. They rotate between Old Testament and New Testament books. They also do service projects that benefit the community or other people in the church. This class is led by Brenda Miller.
The Adult Sunday School class meets in the Fellowship Hall and is taught by a rotation of teachers. This class works through the Wesleyan Church’s Sunday School curriculum.
